We began as a prayer meeting... In the fall of 2012, a small group of people gathered to pray together who were living in downtown Hamilton although they attended church in a different town. They desired to hear Jesus about the question “What would it look like to be the body of Christ, right here in our neighbourhood?” This question has remained the core of St. Clair as it continued to grow from this humble beginning, to its’ first Sunday gathering in June 2014 at the Germania Club on King St. to it’s current space at Faith United on Main Street. The theme of prayer and pursuit of the Holy Spirit’s leading remains a guiding way of being and seeking Jesus in our community.
St. Clair is a part of the 24-7 Prayer movement which is an international, interdenominational prayer movement, with a vision to revive the church and rewire the culture through radical discipleship and unceasing prayer.
