Church Profile

Who We Are

St. Clair Community Church desires to follow Jesus and live in the presence and power of the Holy Spirit through engaging with God’s Word, developing spiritual habits and practices, and doing so while living as a family on mission. We began as a prayer meeting over 10 years ago in East Hamilton and continue to meet within that neighbourhood though our attendees live all throughout the larger City of Hamilton.

We are part of a larger global community called 24/7 Prayer, which is a movement with a vision to “revive the church and rewire the culture through non-stop night and day prayer.” We were planted out of Grindstone Church in Waterdown, Ontario, and were part of the Associated Gospel Church until 2018.

We are a community of approximately 200 people who desire to be challenged in their discipleship. The majority of our congregation is under 40, with about 30% of our community under the age of 16. We have a maturing prayer culture for a young community and desire to see all generations equipped in their spiritual formation and live in the freedom of their identity in Christ.

Our Vision

St Clair exists to make disciples of Jesus by living as a family on mission in the Sherman neighbourhood, in Hamilton, and in the world. We seek to be transformed by the presence of God, growing in our love of Jesus, our love for each other, and our love for our neighbours.

Our VALUES

PRESENCE – being with God, as He lives in us and desires to speak to us about how we can partner with Him.

FAMILY – belonging as the family of God through covenant relationship to God and each other.

MISSION – becoming the people of God through loving and serving our neighbourhoods, city and people around us.
